I’m @ComplexiT (T/they/she), a queer, femme-presenting nonbinary rope nerd, bottom-leaning switch, and self-suspender.
I discovered rope in October 2024 and immediately had my mind blown 🤯😍🪢 — rope turned out to be so much more than what had initially drawn my curiosity. Partnered tying can be a sensual or passionate way to connect with friends or romantic partners, and self-tying is a whole other realm of self-exploration, self-mastery, and self-love. Each in their own way can be an amazing form of sensory play for adults (incorporating deep pressure, vestibular, and proprioceptive senses, in addition to the familiar five).
I immediately wanted to learn everything I could. Since then, I’ve taken private and group lessons, attended workshops and events in the Bay Area with my long-distance partner @XTCatalyst (who co-facilitates OlyRope Skillshares with me when he’s in town), and supplemented with online study and independent practice.
I’m building the OlyRope community to create a space that’s safer, kinder, and more accessible for LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent rope lovers in the South Sound.
I facilitate in a collaborative, peer-led style, and I demo many techniques as self-ties so folks without partners have concrete, empowering ways to engage with rope. My goal isn’t to be “the authority” on anything — it’s to help cultivate a space where it feels natural and comfortable for all of us to learn from each other.
I’ve adopted the KEMS code of conduct (https://meerkatagenda.com/kems/) and have nothing to disclose.
