Description

This rope workshop will be a hand-on class with active participation and rope tying. We will start by establishing aesthetic guidelines and principles for our ties as an overarching theme of the intermediate series. We will focus on a) modular tying, b) intentionality, c) nawajiri management, and d) philosophy of minimalism, model-centric photography, and wabi-sabi aesthetics. The Agura class will include explicit instruction on: Waist rope single column and hojo cuffs, Reverse tension bands, Managing kannukis / cinches

We will tie two different Aguras:
Sitting legs crossed
Facedown prone position

Prerequisites: Single column, experience with basic chest harness, basic understandings of tension and rope placement.
Requirements: at least 6 hanks of rope at 20-30+ft in length.
