SUMMARY:Sacrificial Offerings (taught by Fuoco)
DESCRIPTION:This 2-day intensive explores the collaboration between bottom and rigger\, with an emphasis on the ways that bottoms contribute to rope scenes in subtle and not so subtle ways. In this workshop we aim to trouble the binary of “active” and “passive” bottoming\, and instead explore the numerous offerings that live on the spectrum within and between these two modes. \nThis workshop is appropriate for tying partners who are comfortable with suspensions but unsure of how to improvise or break away from structured sequences. This workshop is also great for tying pairs who want to explore different bottoming styles and the tying styles that emerge in response. \nTying pairs should have at least one suspension-worthy upper body harness that they know well and feel confident in (preferably arms-in). Bottoms should be at least intellectually aware of the difference between circulation restriction and nerve compression\, and feel comfortable communicating through stress. Tops should feel confident and quick in their upline lock offs and descents. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Gravity and Grounding: Body Manipulation with Rope
DESCRIPTION:How do you move your partner without verbal commands? How do you create flow from one position to the next? This class will teach partners how to use rope to move together with less risk of falling or other accidents. Pairs will learn sequences that get the body from standing positions down to the ground and back up again. The class covers anatomy fundamentals for moving bodies of all sizes and shapes in rope and shares the techniques needed to do so efficiently. This class is appropriate for most skill levels in rope. Tickets will be sold in tying pairs.

SUMMARY:Bondage for Beginners at Gallery Erato
DESCRIPTION:Interested in adding some bondage to your life but not sure where to start? This fun and accessible introductory class will introduce you to the basics of kink and rope bondage. By the time you’re done you’ll have all the skills you need to safely and confidently start exploring bondage on your own. \nThis is a bondage class rather than a knots class\, so our focus is on teaching a small number of versatile techniques that you can use in all kinds of ways. All the ties in the class are easy to learn and can be used for many different play styles. \nThe point of bondage is to connect with your partner\, so we’ll also cover fundamental kink concepts like consent\, negotiation\, and aftercare. To help you put it all together\, we’ll have fun demos of the techniques in action\, along with suggestions for how to figure out what kind of kink works best for you. \nSingle students are welcome\, but this class is most fun if you take it with a partner. We’ll provide practice rope if you don’t have your own. Class handouts will be provided\, with digital access after the class. \nImportant details: \n• Pay-what-you-can scholarships\, funded by 4Culture\, are available for all Pan Eros Foundation workshops. •If you need financial assistance\, please email Leah at education@pan-eros.org\n• All sexes\, genders\, races\, ethnicities\, sexual orientations\, relationship orientations\, bodies\, body types\, ability levels welcome and celebrated.\n• No late entry will be allowed due to the nature of this workshop. Doors will be locked at 10 minutes after the start time.\n• Open to all 18+\n• Water available. Please bring your own bottle or cup.\n• Attendance is limited to 24 people.\n• Questions may be directed to: education@pan-eros.org or dreamingwithesjay@gmail.com

This class is designed for all levels including new beginners. The ability to tie a “single column tie” is not required but will help you. \nRequirements:  at least 2 hanks of rope at 20-30+ft in length.

SUMMARY:Beginner Shibari
DESCRIPTION:Shibari is the Japanese-inspired practice of aesthetic rope bondage. In this foundational session\, students will learn fundamental ties and techniques to begin their rope journey. Though fundamental\, these techniques can be combined in uncountable ways to produce elaborate shapes and scenarios. Besides learning technical skills\, we will focus on rope bondage as a movement and acrobatic art\, with emphasis on flow\, aesthetics\, and partner connection. This class is appropriate for students that wish to learn shibari as a performing art\, or as a private practice. Attendees can attend solo or as a couple. \nHosted out of a circus school\, this class is ideal for folks that want to explore shibari in a non-kink environment.

SUMMARY:Rope Enthusiasts Chillshare
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a rope bondage skill sharing event in an intentionally quiet space. Whether you’re a curious beginner or have some rope experience\, this event offers a low-stim environment to learn\, practice\, and connect with others. \nMasking Policy:\nMasking with a high quality respirator (kn95 or better) is required. In order to make this event more accessible to the members of our community who are extra cautious about COVID and other respiratory nasties\, we require high-quality masks. No cloth\, no paper/surgical masks. We provide a supply of free high quality masks for those who need one. If you are sick\, please stay home <3 \nWe ask that you keep your mask on as much as you can\, and that you put it on before entering the space. We have a supply of drinking valves and straws that can be used to drink while not removing your mask and folks who would be delighted to show you how to install and use them. Please step outside to eat if that is accessible to you. \nWhat to Expect: \nSkillsharing: Share your rope tips\, tricks\, and experiences in a supportive environment. All are invited to ask questions\, observe what people are doing\, give/request feedback\, show what you know or are in the midst of learning at any level. \nQuieter voices: Please default to speaking only as loudly as needed; hushed voices are great to keep the overall volume down \nStack: When having group conversations\, we recommend using a simplified “taking stack” method to help avoid speaking over and interrupting others. If you’re unfamiliar with this\, please see one of the event hosts! \nWhat to Bring:\n– A mask\, kn95 or better REQUIRED\n– Comfortable clothing suitable for movement\n– Rope (a limited amount of loaner rope may be available for use during the event)\n– A notebook or sketchbook for jotting down tips and insights\n– Ground cover if wanted\n– Ideas for things you’d like to learn or show to others \nDonations:\nThis event asks for a donation of $5. Please contribute what you can to help the Pan Eros Foundation continue to provide space for events like these. \nUnleash your inner bondage nerd\, and discover the joy of quietly mastering a new skill. We’re excited to share this harmonious blend of rope and mindfulness with you! \nHosts for this event are:\n– Soniaiaiai\n– Solo\n– DegradedByDesign\n– TheBoopBandit

SUMMARY:Ascent In Rope: Partials Series
DESCRIPTION:This 3-part series is designed for tying pairs who are experienced in floor rope and wish to escalate their skills by playing with gravity. Those tying will learn how to attach\, use\, and manage one or more uplines. Those being tied will learn to identify red flags in upline management\, practice bottoming skills\, and develop a better understanding of their body. Upon completing this series\, attendees will be prepared to play with simple partial suspension shapes. \nIn order to benefit from this class\, those tying should be able to confidently tie a non-collapsing single column and double column\, use simple frictions like munters and half-hitches\, and learn harnesses through demonstration. Those being tied should be comfortable voicing their rope style preferences and communicating their physical and emotional experiences while in rope. \nThese classes are crafted for partnered learning; attendees need to sign up in pairs. All tying pairs must commit to all classes in the series. \nWe encourage those who have completed the Techniques in Tying curriculum to register. Prerequisites are listed below for those who have not attended these series.

SUMMARY:RopeLab @_the_apartment
DESCRIPTION:Come hang with us at Rope Lab! This is a casual exploration into the basics of shibari and eastern rope bondage. Please be sure to be on time. \nPlease come in comfortable clothes that allow for a wide range of movement. Two or three pieces of 6mm rope 24-30 ft in length will be used in each session. Mats are provided\, but a blanket is nice to place over them.\nThe ties we will focus on are best done with natural fiber rope. Jute or hemp are the preferred options.\nWe have loaner rope if you need to borrow and will usually have some on hand for sale should you want to take some home to practice.
