DESCRIPTION:Join us for a rope bondage skill sharing event in an intentionally quiet space. Whether you’re a curious beginner or have some rope experience\, this event offers a low-stim environment to learn\, practice\, and connect with others. \nMasking Policy:\nMasking with a high quality respirator (kn95 or better) is required. In order to make this event more accessible to the members of our community who are extra cautious about COVID and other respiratory nasties\, we require high-quality masks. No cloth\, no paper/surgical masks. We provide a supply of free high quality masks for those who need one. If you are sick\, please stay home <3 \nWe ask that you keep your mask on as much as you can\, and that you put it on before entering the space. We have a supply of drinking valves and straws that can be used to drink while not removing your mask and folks who would be delighted to show you how to install and use them. DESCRIPTION:Come hang with us at Rope Lab! This is a casual exploration into the basics of shibari and eastern rope bondage. Each session we will begin by covering the basic single column tie which is the foundation of all that we do\, and then we will explore other ties that build on that. \nDoors open at 6:30 and class will begin at 7:00 sharp. Please be sure to be on time. \nPlease come in comfortable clothes that allow for a wide range of movement. Two or three pieces of 6mm rope 24-30 ft in length will be used in each session. Mats are provided\, but a blanket is nice to place over them.\nThe ties we will focus on are best done with natural fiber rope. Jute or hemp are the preferred options.\nWe have loaner rope if you need to borrow and will usually have some on hand for sale should you want to take some home to practice.

SUMMARY:Bondage for Beginners at Gallery Erato
DESCRIPTION:Interested in adding some bondage to your life but not sure where to start? This fun and accessible introductory class will introduce you to the basics of kink and rope bondage. By the time you’re done you’ll have all the skills you need to safely and confidently start exploring bondage on your own. \nThis is a bondage class rather than a knots class\, so our focus is on teaching a small number of versatile techniques that you can use in all kinds of ways. All the ties in the class are easy to learn and can be used for many different play styles. \nThe point of bondage is to connect with your partner\, so we’ll also cover fundamental kink concepts like consent\, negotiation\, and aftercare. To help you put it all together\, we’ll have fun demos of the techniques in action\, along with suggestions for how to figure out what kind of kink works best for you. \nSingle students are welcome\, but this class is most fun if you take it with a partner. We’ll provide practice rope if you don’t have your own.
